My Top 5 Waist Cinchers - The Waist Cinchers That Take INCHES Off Your Waistline
Waist Cinchers are one of the most transforming pieces of shapewear. They are incredible, they make such a difference to your figure. Most other shapewear does lovely things like smooth and firm. However, they won't transform and make you go OMG look at me!

Not For The Feint-Hearted
This is a word of warning. Waist Cinchers are full on. They fit TIGHT. They pull you in LOTS. Because of this, you can really really feel them on. They are fairly thick and quite a bit bulkier than other shapewear. They may make you hot, they might be a bit uncomfortable. And it is not advisable to be planning on eating a banquet whilst wearing one.
So What Are Waist Cinchers?
Waist cinchers are a very wide band of material (often latex or rubber) with boning (either plastic or steel) that you wrap around your waist and secure down the front. Your waist cincher should fit VERY TIGHTLY in order for them to really work.
The Fastenings
Most waist cinchers are made with a line of really strong hook and eye fastenings running down the front. These allow you to work them on so that you get a super tight, cinched in waist. They often have 2 or more columns of hooks and eyes, so that you can wear your waist cincher TIGHT or REALLY TIGHT!
There are waist cinchers out there with zip fastenings. We do not like these. They don't create as good a line under your clothes - the zip tends to buckle up and stick out. They don't pull you in as much either. And often the zip will break, making the waist cincher completely useless.
Not everyone likes the fastenings down the front. Yes, they are a little bulky and so can show under tight or light clothing. There is a really good step in waist cincher by Miraclesuit that still helps to create a lovely waist shape, whilst having no fastenings at all. This takes a bit of effort to get into and pull it up, but once in place I think you will be pleased with your waist!
The Fabric
The super duper control waist cinchers are made from a latex/rubber fabric. Please do not think of wearing one of these if you have a rubber allergy! They do smell a bit of rubber when you first get them out of the packet. But a quick wipe or wash sorts this out pronto.
All of our latex/rubber waist cinchers are lined with cotton, so the rubber doesn't sit directly against your skin. This is to make it much more comfortable to wear.
The extra firm control waist cinchers are made from a less scary fabric. They look and feel less full on and are easier and cooler to wear.
The Boning
All of our waist cinchers are boned. Most of them having boning running straight up and down. This is not always the easiest to wear as it can restrict your movement.
If you are looking for something that is easier to wear and that you can run around in, go for a waist trainer corset. These have angled boning which molds much better to the shape of your body and makes it easier to jive in.

1. Esbelt Waist Cincher Style ES404 - RRP £45.00
In FIRST PLACE and my all time favourite (I have 2 that I wear loads) is the Esbelt Waist Cincher. This is an AMAZING waist cincher. It is made from latex/rubber with flexible boning. You secure it down your front with hooks and eyes - there are 2 settings. Tight or REALLY TIGHT. The inside is lined with cotton, so you can wear it next to your skin comfortably. It fits UK sizes 4 - 28 and comes in a natural/beige colour, or black.
2. Esbelt Waist Cincher Vest Style ES431 - RRP £58.75
This is the VEST version of the Esbelt Waist Cincher (ES404). It does exactly the same things as the regular waist cincher except it has a very high back and shoulder straps. The high back is brilliant if you tend to bulge over the top of a regular waist cincher, or if you have back boobs and bra bulges to disguise. You wear the Esbelt Waist Cincher Vest with your own bra, so you get the best possible shape.
3. Miraclesuit Inches Off Waist Cincher Style 2615 - RRP £34.95
The Miraclesuit Inches Off Waist Cincher is a different type of waist cincher. It ISN'T made from latex/rubber - great if you have an allergy to these materials. This does make is not so strong in slimming control (this is EXTRA FIRM, compared to MAXIMUM control). However, it is boned and made from very strong fabric, so it does an excellent job of slimming your waist.
4. Esbelt Waist Training Corset ES062 - RRP £47.50
Yes, I'm back on the Esbelt brand again. They make such good waist cinchers, and have recently brought out this new style waist cincher. It is designed to be worn both under regular clothing, and during workout sessions. Wearing waist cinchers and waist trainers to the gym has become really popular. Apparently it helps to increase gym results and helps you to gain and much narrower waistline (I don't go to the gym so I haven't tested this myself!). It is made from latex/rubber so it is super strong. The bones are angled to give you greater ease of movement, and the length it a little shorter to make it very comfortable to wear during exercise. The Esbelt Waist Training Corset comes in a bright pink or electric blue - very eye catching!
5. Miraclesuit Extra Firm Control Waist Shaper With Back Magic #2913 - RRP £37.50
If all this latex and hooks and eyes are a bit much for you, have a look at the Miraclesuit Extra Firm Control Waist Shaper With Back Magic #2913. This waist cincher is still EXTRA FIRM in slimming control - so a bit milder in control than the others. It is made from a double layered, soft fabric with sewn in flexible bones. You step into it - it is a bit of a wriggle job to work it up your body! It does a marvelous job of molding and smoothing your waistline, whilst being much more invisible and discreet under light or tight clothing.
Why Are These So Many Cheap Waist Cinchers On Amazon?
The Chinese market has cleverly realised the popularity of waist cinchers. They have flooded the market with some very poor quality versions - and they are all over Amazon. Some people claim these are as good as the more expensive ones, however, a lot of the reviews on Amazon are dubious. I have purchased a couple of the cheap ones and they are...well...cheap. I'm not trying to get everyone to spend loads of money on a waist cincher, but in general you do get what you pay for.
